The Îles Laval are an island grouping in the Rivière des Prairies The Rivière des Prairies is a delta channel of the Ottawa River in southwestern Quebec, Canada in southwestern Quebec.

Formerly an independent municipality (Les Îles-Laval), they became part of the city of Laval Laval is a city and a region in southwestern Quebec, Canada. With a population of 368,709 in 2006, it is the second largest city in Greater Montreal, and the third largest in the province of Quebec. Laval is in between the Rivière des Mille Îles opposite the north shore and the Rivière des Prairies, opposite Montreal. Laval occupies all of Île on August 6, 1965.

Geography

Located northeast of Île Bizard between the Island of Montreal The Island of Montreal , in extreme southwestern Quebec, Canada, is located at the confluence of the Saint Lawrence and Ottawa Rivers. It is separated from Île Jésus (Laval) by the Rivière des Prairies and Île Jésus Île Jésus is an island in southwestern Quebec, separated from the mainland to the north by the Rivière des Mille Îles, and from the Island of Montreal to the south by the Rivière des Prairies, they include Île Bigras, Île Pariseau, Île Verte and Île Ronde [1].

Transportation

They are served by the Île Bigras station of the Deux-Montagnes commuter train line which crosses the islands. A road bridge links the islands with the Sainte-Dorothée district of Laval, on Île Jésus.

There is no bus service on the islands.
