Objectives
PuntuLLI has three main efforts:
- To promote the .lli throughout the Internet as a domain in its own right which represents the Leonese culture expressed in our language.
- To present an official petition before the ICANN ICANN is the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers. Headquartered in Marina Del Rey, California, United States, ICANN is a non-profit corporation that was created on September 18, 1998 in order to oversee a number of Internet-related tasks previously performed directly on behalf of the U.S. government by other organizations, notably (Internet Corporation For Assigned Names and Numbers) regarding the recognition of .lli, raising the funds necessary to this end.
- To gain the support of Leonese institutions, associations, groups and private individuals for a domain of our own on the Internet.
There are more than 800 people[3] added and 44 organisations that supported the campaign.
