What do I get my parents for their 25th anniversary?
Q. I'm turning 18 in two weeks and my parents 25th anniversary is Tuesday. I have almost no money as I am saving for driving school and I'm out of a job. What is something sweet to get them? It doesn't need to be a big and expensive thing, just from the heart. What is something they would like? please help!

December 25th-How long does your family celebrate Christmas & what are your Christmas traditions?
Q. I just found out the Christmas lasts from December 25th until January 5th Christmas is not a celebration that lasts a single day. Christmas is a twelve-day season that begins on December 25 and ends on January 5, the eve of the Epiphany of our Lord. These "Twelve Days of Christmas" are in turn part of a longer liturgical cycle that begins with Advent, continues after Christmas with Epiphany and the Sundays that follow, and ends with Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent.

What are my chances of becoming pregnant The first day of my last period was Jan 25th?
Q. My cycle's 26 days and I've had sex everyday since my period went off. The first day of my period was the 25th of January. My fiance and I have been having sex unprotected and he ejaculated inside me each time on the 3rd, 4th,and 5th and then again on the 8th and 9th. What are my chance of becoming pregant.
Asked by MizzButler - Thu Feb 11 17:56:55 2010 - Women's Health - 1 Answers - Comments
A. There is a good chance you are pregnant either from having sex on the 4th, 5th and the 8th February. If your cycle is 26 days then you were due to ovulate on the 6th (give or take around a day each side) and sperm can survive for up to 72 hours and the ovum (egg) is viable for around 24-36 hours. I would wait until the 16th or later and buy a pregnancy test (early test) or wait until around four days after your period is due (24th or 25th February) then buy a later pregnancy test. If any come up positive then go to your doctor to have the blood pregnancy test to fully confirm.

What do you buy a rich guy for his 25th birthday?
Q. Hey everyone, I am confused on what to buy my boyfriend for his 25th birthday. I go to university and have a part time job. He has a nice cars, clothes and a 10,000 sq feet house. I really don't know what to get him, please help meee.

A. Give him something you know he will like that you can afford. Even if it is only a picture of what you wish you could give him with a note saying "someday I'll get this for you because I know you'd really love it" accompanied by a big hug and kiss. Give him a booklet you make with coupons for a back or foot massage, a special meal of his choosing, a "get out of jail free" card for screwups, and similar stuff (personal to the two of you). You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving.

What can I send my parents on their 25th anniversary?
Q. Situation: I am a recent grad (read: no money, but working a lot) I live far away from home, and my parents 25th wedding anniversary is coming up end of September. Both my siblings are in college, we are all far apart (physically) I am looking for something to send them, perhaps involving my siblings. Lots of sites have ideas to do with photos, but I don't have any, or access to any. Any suggestions?

A. Every anniversary represents something (50th = gold). I think 25th is silver. So something silver that they can comemorate their 25th. It doesn't necessarily have to be expensive, but at least with some thought applied to the occasion - it's the thought that counts. Maybe something small made of silver that you can have engraved "On your 25th wedding anniversary" for him and for her and then wrapped in silver colored packaging - maybe I'm going overboard with the silver theme, but you get the idea. I don't know if they still do the gems and precious metals for each year, it may be just an old fashioned thing to do, so you might also want to search under "25th wedding anniversary", but hope this gives you some ideas...

Q. Does anyone have any suggestions for food for my parents surprise 25th wedding anniversary party to feed about 150 people? I'm a budget, so the cheaper the better. Also, any advice about wedding cakes? How big should I order to feed about 150 people and about how much will that cost? Thanks!

A. Well were you planning on providing appetizers or the whole works? As for the wedding cake, where do you live? Try to find a baker that could do a small "cutting" wedding cake and a dessert buffet.

Any ideas for a 25th birthday party?
Q. My fiance will be turning 25 in Feb. I wanted to originally throw a surprise 25th birthday party for him. Well now we are planning a wedding in April. We don't have a lot of money. We also live in an apartment so we have no yard (Feb would be cold anyways)He has never had a surprise birthday before. What can I do that will be special and yet not cost a lot (wedding reception is already costing a lot). Also he has a twin brother. Is it wrong not to include the brother in the surprise?

A. Somehow I don't think the other answers were what you were looking for. Anyway, I think you can do some really fun inexpensive appetizers. Have your friends each bring a bottle of wine or something non-alchoholic to drink. Nuts and olives are always good. Popcorn is a great inexpensive snack. If you are looking for something a little fancier try doing bruschetta with different toppings like, pesto, tapenade, roasted red peppers and feta cheese. If you are a good cook you can make little pizzas. The toppings can be quite simple. Dips like hummus, salsa, white bean dip, onion dip, clam dip, crab dip, artichoke dip. Frittatas are a nice appetizer when you cut them into little squares and the variety is endless. If you need recipes you can… [cont.]

A. You have a lot of options. You have casinos on both sides of the river( in AC anyway). You have Merion Caterers up on 130 is a nice place depending on your needs. You could try the Coastline in Cherry Hill. Again there are many nice hotels in Philly or Jersey. It's really up to you with the number involved and how much you want to spend. Happy Birthday!

A. Mishel there are a lot of websites out there that offer a wide variety of gifts for anniversaries. The key is to have an idea on what you want. You mentioned a photo calendar, these are nice but can get more expensive the more dates you add to the calendar. I am posting a link below to a gift site that has a lot of anniversary gift ideas, I used the search photo anniversary and found a couple of item. I hope this helps: Robert

I had so much fun planning it :) Let's see: I used a lot of silver-ish colors, decorations, tableware, gift wrap, etc. I did deli sandwiches-- meats, cheeses, lettuce, tomato, condiments, etc. Family members contributed with pasta salads and various casseroles-- macaroni salad, broccoli salad, potato salad, potato casserole, broccoli casserole, etc. Hope this helps! Good luck with the party, it is so mice to hear that they have been together for 25 years!

Q. I am making a party for my parent's 25th wedding anniversary. It is a semi-formal event. A. Where did they go on their honeymoon? Maybe a theme based on that would work:) ... Otherwise, it's their silver anniversary, so maybe some mirror squares on the tables, with different sized, fat white candles ... or different sized clear vases with silver marbles inside, and a candle stuck into that... silver confetti and glitter strewn around (also put some into the invitation envelopes)... Congratulations to them! (our 25th is in Jan)

How was the 25th amendment used with regards to the case (US V Nixon)?
Q. How was the 25th amendment used with regards to this case ? Because of the Watergate scandal, what two men were selected to form the new administration that would finish out Nixon's term in office ?

A. the 25th amendment had nothing to do with Nixon. However, it did allow him to appoint Gerald Ford (with the consent of the Congress) as vice-president when Agnew resigned that position. When Nixon resigned, Ford automatically became president because he was the vice president. Ford appointed Nelson Rockafellow to be his vice president and congress approved.

Where is a good restaurant to have a 25th birthday party for a large group?
Q. My 25th birthday is vastly approaching, and I haven't planned anything...Any suggestions on where is a good restaurant to host a group of friends? In the East bay or Peninsula? Some where fun and loud where everyone all ages will have a good time!

A. Your best bed is to call ahead and ask your favorite restaurants if they have a party room or separate area. That way you and your friends can have noisy fun and not worry about others.
