Loch Arbour was formed as a Village by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature The New Jersey Legislature is the legislative branch of the government of the U.S. state of New Jersey. In 1997, Loch Arbour voters rejected a ballot proposal that would have it merge back into Ocean Township by an 88-69 margin, and proposals to merge with Allenhurst Allenhurst is a Borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the borough population was 718. Allenhurst was incorporated as a borough by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 26, 1897, from portions of Ocean Township. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Deal Lake to the west, the or Interlaken failed by a nearly 10-1 margin.[8]
