The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is a Cabinet The United States Cabinet is composed of the most senior appointed officers of the executive branch of the federal government of the United States. Its existence dates back to the first American President, George Washington, who appointed a Cabinet of four people (Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson; Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton;-level office, and is the largest office within the Executive Office of the President of the United States The Executive Office of the President consists of the immediate staff of the President of the United States, as well as multiple levels of support staff reporting to the President. The EOP is headed by the White House Chief of Staff, currently Rahm Emanuel (EOP). The current OMB chairman is Peter Orszag and was appointed by President Barack Obama Barack Hussein Obama II ( bəˈrɑːk huːˈseɪn oʊˈbɑːmə ; born August 4, 1961) is the 44th and current President of the United States. The first African American to hold the office, he served as the junior United States Senator from Illinois from January 2005 until he resigned after his election to the presidency in November 2008 on the 15th December 2008[1] and confirmed by the Senate The United States Senate is the upper house of the bicameral United States Congress, the lower house being the House of Representatives. The composition and powers of the Senate and the House are established in Article One of the U.S. Constitution . Each U.S state is represented by two senators, regardless of population. This ensures equal on the 20th January 2009.
