A. There are plenty of sites out here, some free, some low cost, here is a list: Your best bet is probably Fictionwise. Though I know audiobookstore has Wallflower.

The Gutenberg Project has tens of thousands of books available for free download in pdf If, by chance, there is something you can't find there... then one of my English professors gave me this site, which is basically the same thing and was put together by the University of Pennsylvania: All copyrighted material is illegal to download. Here are some sites that have non-copywrited material for reading: but I would try the Gutenberg Project first. I think their collection is more extensive.

A. You can read free books legally on Project Gutenberg's website. They list books that are no longer under copy right so it is legal to post them and read them for free. Most are older classics but there are plenty of good things to read.

It's possible you didn't get many bids because your comics aren't that rare or valuable, or you didn't provide the information people look for when they buy comics from eBay, or perhaps you had a starting/reserve price that was unrealistic. eBay really is the standard way to go. You can also try craigslist so you can find interested buyers in your area who can pick the books up and hand you cash, that way you don't have to deal with shipping or online money transfers. Or take them to your local comic book store. Unless your comics are from before 1975, any other method of selling is rarely worth all the trouble

Where to read books online or buy cheap?
Q. I am looking for a place online to read books for free. I don't really want to buy them because they are old and would probably be cheap, but still would rather print them off the internet. I am speaking of books such as Farenheit 451, The Giver, Animal Farm, etc. Thanks. I would rather own them than just borrow them from a library though, and if I were to get them off the internet, I would rather print them to have physical copies instead of paying for a physical copy.

A. You might be able to find them by going to www.gutenberg.org and that's a free site. Or you might be able to find them by going to www.ebooks.com which is not a free site, but sometimes offers the books for cheap. I also go to abbooks.com to buy physical copies of the books, because they have a great selection of used books.

A. Such laws exist. I don't think I've ever seen a copyrighted book on-line for download. With the exception of like the Amazon Kindle, but that has copy protection built-in. Book publishers are very aggressive about going to court and enforcing copyrights. The are a lot of old books where the copyright has expired like on project Gutenberg, but these are legal to download. Copyrights used to last about 30 years. It may have changed with the DCMA and the Sony Bono Coyright Renewal Act. *** Has anyone heard of any major civil suits or websites being shut down for distributing books on-line. People get sued for music all the time. But, I've never heard of mass pirating of Books. If anyone is familiar with this happening on any scale please… [cont.]

A. There are great book buying and trading opportunities using sites like Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. On Amazon.com, you can find all kinds of texts for as cheap as $5. Then there are used bookstores and the marked-down shelves at big bookstores like Barnes & Noble, though those two options can limit your choices. I know that buying textbooks at university bookstores and ordering them online are extremely expensive. I would try finding used copies.

A. Current books may be online on pirate sites. But respect authors and don't use them. They steal from authors. Read the books at the public library where tax dollars pay the publisher and the publisher pays the author. Some authors like Cory Doctorow agree to give books away for free. But very few can afford to do this. Little Brother is an amazing book. 4shared, Scribd, and others are peer to peer sites with people who don't own the copyright giving copies to others. That steals from the author.

I have several college books to sell. What is the easiest way to sell them online?
Q. I took a couple classes online, through AIU (and I would not suggest it) and now I have several marketing books that are in good condition. I have bought off e-bay, but never sold. Is there an easier way to sell books online? If not, could someone please explain how e-bay works(selling) I really appreciate it. A. I would try half.com (free to list) and amazon.com (free to list). They are a lot more user friendly. I would also try craigslist.com, or thefacebook.com which are popular sites for students to search for books!

A. Google Books is the most famous one. Although it restricts you from browsing all of a book's pages. But if you have had any purchase on Amazon.com. Then you can go to your desired book's page, then under the book picture, you may see "Search inside this book" link. This feature is available for many books on this site. Now, log in to your account and click that link. It shows you the book in the real printed book format.but this sometimes restricts you too. Otherwise if you decide to download your favorite books from ebook sites. Then you can try these two ones: ebookee.com avaxhome.ru I have tried them many times and never received a virus or something else. Good Luck
