Q. Is there some where online in which I can write stories online and get them reviewed by other users, same the other way around- where I can read their stories and review them? Thank you.

A. www.writersdock.org is a superb site. They've recent had an overhaul, so I know the inital front pages are still being developed - but please stick with it. This is a great site for writers, with a massive membership. I guarantee every story you submit will be read and someone will leave feedback for you. I found the feedback very helpful...particularly if you leave a note somewhere to say whether you want 'harsh' feeback, or just a very basic feedback. And on the flip side, people are posting stuff on here all the time, so there's loads to read and review. A. Why not check your public library where if they don't have it, they can get it on interlibrary loan. That would be legal. Online "free" sites are stolen material.

It is a great way to garner reviews and comments and everyone is very friendly and passionate towards writing and reading fanfictions. A. Yes you should be worried. Quite honestly, the site's promise that your story is protected means nothing. If someone decides to steal it and sell it to a publisher in, for instance, Persian, how would you ever know? And what would you do if you did know? Got to Iran and sue them? Over a story? Hardly. There is only one copyright that is 100% certain. Keep work off the internet. Once you post online, all bets are off and no website can protect you - no matter what they say. Pax-C

A. For this type of problem I would recommend going to the library and asking the librarian to track them down for you. If the book you need isn't in that library they can request it from another one using the interlibrary loan program. In fact, you can probably do everything over the phone up to the point where you have to pick up the book(s). You might find your library has online access to the database you need, and you can use your own library card number to log in from your home PC. I can use LitFinder from home by going through my library's website and using my library card number.
