deer hunting in texas with permission of owner?
Q. my cousin owns 40+ acres in Burnet county, I have written permission to hunt and I have my hunting license. I do not lease the property nor does anyone else for hunting, we are family and he has given me permission to hunt deer there. Is there another fee that I or he is responsible for. someone told me there is a $70.00 per gun charge by the county, I have never heard of this. Maybe on leased property? Can you tell me what the law is in Burnet County, Texas for hunting with permission but not leased?

Hunting near my house?
Q. I live in Texas, Burnet County to be exact. We are renting a house and our landlords' grandkids hunt dove/deer very close to our home. Does anyone know how far the legal distance away from my house they are supposted to be when they are shooting and hunting? Or where I can find out online? Thanks :)

In Texas can car inspections be done in a different county than the car is registered in?
Q. I need to get my car inspected this month and my county requires emissions test. I was thinking of taking it to Burnet county or something because I cannot afford to fix the catalytic converter (with Christmas presents to buy for my kids, it's a bad time of year to fix my car). Plus, I will be selling my car in a few months anyway...not worth it for me to pour a few hundred bucks into fixing a car I don't plan on keeping anyway. I've gotten mixed answers on this question, so hopefully someone knows for sure what the answer is. Thanks!

A. I have been doing Texas state inspections for 30 plus years and this is not allowed plus this is punishable by a heavy fine.. Remember that inspection stickers are scanned and the state of Texas knows where it was done..
