Lists of Newspapers By Circulation Answers
Is the New York Times controlled by the Left?
Q. This paper is still the premier newspaper of America. They give us important book reviews, including the ever-important NY Time Best-seller list. Thier Editorial and Opinion pages are scrutinized by the entire mass-media, and their theatre reviews can make or break a Broadway Stage production or even a Hollywood movie. BUT...their editorial turn from the :center is universally acknowledged and their circulation is rapidly shrinking as they seemingly pander more to the extreme left, leaving the avarage American discusted by thier seeming political bias. What do you think? Is the NY Times as political as so many think? Do you pay any attention to their Editorials? Should America turn its collective back on the TIME? Your opinions please No… [cont.]

A. The New York Crimes paper is only an exclamation point away from "communism" ! For the Liberal Socialist on here trying to justify The NY Crime is not Left wing liberally loony bias` because they hired Bill Crystal ; NOT ! They hired him in hopes of picking up conservative readers and increasing their falling reader base, because of double digit % losses in advertising and circulation !!! There just isn`t enough people with birds in cages to keep the N.Y. Crimes circulation profitable ! Oh` Yeah , BTW , They now have Dan "Lying Forger" Rather saying the N.Y. Crimes is a "professional " news outlet ?? Beam us up Scottie, the Fat Lady has not only begun singing , she has finished the song !!

Should free copies of The Times be made available to every secondary school child in the UK?
Q. I should say first of all, that there are some reservations about this policy. Firstly is one of advertising. It is, of course, completely inappropriate to advertise to person under the age of 16, so alternate versions would need to be printed. Secondly, there is the issue of competition rules. Maybe all four newspapers should be made available? Obviously there is the cost to consider but current circulation figures show that 8 million tabloids are sold, compared to just 2 million newspapers. For our education system to fail so many people, the must be a serious flaw in it. Is it time that News International followed in the footsteps if The Independent, doing away with The Sun and replacing it with "T", a slimmed down version of… [cont.]

Hypoglycemia? Diabetes? I have questions...?
Q. Lately I've been feeling some things that are not typical. It started with strange things happening to my vision - floaters, if you will. And then I was having trouble focusing on some sale ads in the newspaper. It could be that I'm just getting older...or something else. When I sleep, or try to sleep, I'm awakened by a tingly feeling in my feet - like poor circulation...which bothers me. When I have something that is very sweet and sugar-filled, moments afterward, I feel dizzy and my tongue gets a bit numb. About a month ago, I had my wife test my fasting blood sugar and it was 79. I guess that's not bad...But diabetes does run rampant in my family. Both Grandmothers died from complications of diabetes...I had a great grandmother die from… [cont.]

A. What you are describing is not diabetes. If its true that you are in shape and not overweight then the chances of you having type 2 diabetes is very unlikely. Type 1 diabetes is usually seen in younger people, b/c most of the time it presents early in life, but it can however present later in life. There are cases of Type 1 presenting in people in their 20s. The symptoms you are describing are not diabetes. The main symptoms that you want to look for with diabetes would be a constant thirst and excessive urination.

Why is Move On.org begging for money in almost every email?
Q. The most recent email from Move On.org says ... ~~~ Wed, 07 Jun 2006 10:41:53 -0700 From: "Tom Matzzie, Move On.org Political Action" Subject: Yes! Let's take the election national. Dear Move On member, "The player who changed the dynamics of the race is Move On." That's what one newspaper recently wrote about the election work we've done together. The Move On-member-powered campaign is changing the landscape in key individual races. Now we want to change the dynamic of the entire election. To do that, we're looking for 10,000 of us to become monthly contributors today for the first time at $15 only until the election. ~~~ By the way, the "one newspaper" they're referring to is The Hartford Advocate, a liberal… [cont.]

A. Because people have moved on? Or because billionaire George Soros has a new place to spend his money - perhaps he's directly buying Senator Clinton, instead of going through loopy intermediaries. For the party of the 'little guy' they sure have a lot of millionaires and rich people running their party and calling the tunes.

A. Taking any subject tests is only recommended. Whether you take a third will not make a difference. What is most impressive in your background is that you are being sent to work in Asia. You should definitely notify Georgetown in detail about this trip immediately. If your expenses, such as airfare, are being paid, and/or if you are being paid a fee for your writing, include that information as your trip is much more impressive if your expenses are paid and/or you are being paid than if you just have an opportunity to pay your own way. I would estimate that the Asian trip would definitely result in your admission if it were not for your relatively low SAT 1 math score. You have an extremely strong application otherwise and I still expect… [cont.]

Why do people buy tabloids?
Q. Circulation of the UKs 4 national newspapers (counting I and The Independent as one) is under 2 million. Yet The Daily Mail alone sells 2.1 million, with all filthy tabloids together totaling over 8 million. These publications have nothing to offer society, contain mainly garulous commentary on which invades the privacy of celebrities and which, no educated person would read anyway. When they finally get to put anything which could be described as news in, it is so skewed and wildly inaccurate that it isn't worth the paper it's written on. I used to assume it was price. In the autumn of 2010, all UK newspapers were priced at PS1. But even with the launch of "I", which at 20p, undercuts everything else on the newstand with the… [cont.]

A. Because dirt sells. Look at what political campaign ads have become. Rarely do you see an ad talking positively about what someone running for office will do if elected. Most all of these ads are one person or group slinging mud at another. Why? because negativity gets peoples attention better. It's the same with the tabloids.
