CCNA Exploration - Exam Options?
Q. I am sitting CCNA Exploration as part of my HND at college. I want to do Semester 1 and 2, then ICND 1, then Semester 3 and 4, then ICND 2. I have been told I can only do all 4 then the CCNA exam, but have not found anything conculsive. Could someone shed some light on this, and site their source for verification =) Thanks x D

A. You can get the CCNA by either taking a single composite exam, or by taking the ICND1 and ICND2 exams. This is independent of the Cisco Network Academy, and either exam options can be attempted by virtually anyone at any time regardless of their background. There are no prerequisites for ICND1 or the CCNA composite.

Enter the commands, include the switch prompts, to establish trunking between S1, S2, + S3)?
Q. The last part of this wouldn't fit. After S3 is has (VLAN 99 is the native VLAN). This is a Cisco command question for a 2960 switch. It is out of the LAN Switching and Wireless, CCNA Exploration Labs and Study Guide lab book, pages 114-117, with this particular question being about half way down on page 115 ( if you have this particular book). If not, the topology is like this. 3 Cisco 2960 switches connected (S1, S2, AND S3). S1 has a trunk line coming out of port F0/1 connecting to S2 port's F0/1 and has a trunk line coming out port F0/2 connecting to S3 port's F0/2, all other ports are not used. S2 also has 3 PC's connected to it on ports F0/5 (VLAN 15), F0/10 (VLAN 25), + F0/15 (VLAN 35). S3 also has 3 PC's connected to it on ports F0/ [cont.]

pls answer the ccna exploration questions?
Q. 1 Refer to the exhibit. The exhibited configurations do not allow the switches to form a trunk. What is the most likely cause of this problem? Cisco switches only support the ISL trunking protocol. The trunk cannot be negotiated with both ends set to auto. By default, Switch1 will only allow VLAN 5 across the link. A common native VLAN should have been configured on the switches. 2 Refer to the exhibit. Company HR is adding PC4, a specialized application workstation, to a new company office. The company will add a switch, S3, connected via a trunk link to S2, another switch. For security reasons the new PC will reside in the HR VLAN, VLAN 10. The new office will use the 172.17.11.0/24 subnet. After installation, the existing PCs are unable… [cont.]

A. you can search it by yourself Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Candidates have the option of gaining the certification by passing two tests (ICND1 640-822 and ICND2 640-816), or one single test (CCNA 640-802); the two-test option has the advantage of allowing the candidate to focus on certain subjects.[1] The certification is valid for three years; at that time a CCNA holder must either re-take the CCNA or ICND exam, or take and pass an exam for one of the Professional (e.g., CCNP) or Specialist level certifications (excluding the sales specialist exams), or pass the CCIE written exam. These exams are known by their corresponding numbers. When the curriculum of the exam changes the exam number also changes. The current exam number… [cont.]

Does someone know where can I find all the material of CCNA Exploration v4.0(Semesters 1,2,3,4)?
Q. Besides the official online courses of course. Like a downloaded super manual or a super book from amazon.com. Here, the courses are so fast that it's very annoying, you don't have the time to actually assimilate the theory. P.S. Please supply the links!

A. Go for it. I work for Cisco, well Scientific Atlanta and don't have a degree. I do have a CCNA and Cisco is paying for the remainder of my college and for all further education. Next week I am going to a Sun Solaris 10 admin class and taking the certification after wards. I am a field engineer and work on Digital Cable equipment. Many of the people that I work with are in their late 40's and 50's. Some of us do not have degrees but we have IT experience and Cisco certs. I am only 26 but there is no reason that a middle aged man could not better himself and get a good job in IT. It has been my experience with Cisco that they are not age discriminate, if know what you are doing, you are hired.
