How to create depth in voice?
Q. Hi friends, I would like to create depth in my voice .I have audition for the radio announcer after some months.I use to practice & warm up voice everyday. Please help me to suggest some web links & any special methods or care before the actual audition .

A. Its proven that your voice is it's deepest in range early in the morning when you wake up - due to the relaxed state your body is in, and the fact that you are not using your vocal cords in your sleep. Based on this, I suggest that you do as little talking as you possibly can. If you don't absolutely have to talk, then don't. When you do your deep voice, you should pull every word and syllable from the pit of your stomach. Use your diaphragm. It also helps to tuck your chin into your chest a little - but not so much that you look like you're looking down - just enough that it helps, and that you don't look stupid at the same time.

How does a profile of density with depth change in the temperate open ocean waters?
Q. Describe how a profile of density with depth changes in the temperate open ocean waters in spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Explain the processes involved, including the changes in temperature, the factors causing these changes, and their effects on density, vertical stability, and vertical water motions.

A. Assuming identical chemical composition in a column of water from the ocean surface to the deep sea floor, one would observe the density rise as the depth increases. This happens for two reasons. The biggest one is that the water nearer the surface is warmer and less dense. As the water cools it becomes more dense (until near the freezing point, but this does not happen in temperate waters). Thus, if there is a thermal gradient from the ocean bottom to the top, the density will decrease moving towards the surface. There is also a smaller effect of compression of the water at lower depth by the water column above. The effect is not very great, but it also adds to the density of water with increasing depth.

What would be the effects of a nuclear depth charge detonation?
Q. Considering the megaton range. And if you understand, considering too the ideal depth for the best result possible(for more effectively results). Could a giant wave, somewhat a tsunami, be created?
Asked by Ricardo, The Wikipidist - Mon Jun 1 07:24:45 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Your question is hopelessly without details. To the best of my knowledge, there are no depth charges in use by the USN, much less nuclear depth charges. The problem with a nuclear depth charge is, when you drop it off the fantail of your ship, you are, in effect, setting off a nuke under your ship. Think nuclear hand grenade. Hasta la vista. We did have nuclear ASROCs, but even there, it was a chancy thing. The blast radius of the N-rocs was right at 9 miles. The effective range of an N-roc was...9.2 miles. So as soon as you launched it, you turned in the opposite direction and went to flank speed. Not a comfortable feeling. Tsunami? No. Not even for a huge Hydrogen bomb type scenario. During an underwater nuclear detonation, too much… [cont.]
