How do you figure out the total work hours on excel 2007?
Q. I have the whole schedule of certain people who worked certain hours and days. In a row, the days are listed. The first column have the times and after the first column is the names of the people who worked certain days and hours. I need to figure out how many hours that one week each person worked. I'm going out of my mind trying to figure it out!

A. Col A is hours worked, col B are names. In C1 enter =SUMIF(B:B,B1,A:A) copy down column. Select col C and format cells as [h]:mm

How do I calculate to figure out if a point is within the triangle?
Q. I need to know an easy way to calculate whether or not a point is in triangle ABC. This may sound easy but I haven't been able to figure it out yet. It's easy to do if you graph it but I need something where I could figure it out mathematically without looking at a graph or just imagining it. I need it for a program I'm making using C++ so if you know of a program that works using C++ that would be even better. if you suggest using the slope, what do you do when the slope is undefined...

A. Just treat your triangle as being aligned on some coordinate system -- each edge of the triangle represents a line in the form y = mx + b where m is your slope and b is the intercept.
