How do I make categories and forums visible in Invision Free?
Q. I normally use Pro Boards, but after hearing a lot of people saying the Invision Free is better, i've decided to give it a try. I've made all of the categories and a few boards, but when I view the forum, there aren't any categories or forums to be seen. Note: All of the forums and categories are set to Visible.

Q. I've mainly used forums maintained by Al Maghrib Institute and the 7th Century Generation. Apart from that, I've just been keeping track on Islamic pages on Facebook like Sunnah Beards, Daily Reminders, For Those Who Acquire Knowledge, etc. A few groups are pretty useful as well, too. What is the best way to view online school forums on an Android phone?
Q. I have a Droid Incredible and I cannot get my school's (University of Phoenix) forums to scroll. If there are more than three or four replies in a thread I can't scroll down to view them all. I can scroll the browser window itself, but not the area where the replies are.

Am i legally responsible for content on my blogs & forums that others have written?
Q. I keep several blogs & forums and allow people to write their comments on them. I check regularly and remove any swear words, etc. I also ask commentors not to leave any derogatory terms on the blogs/forums. However, that said, am i still legally responsible for the content on my blog/forums if they write a defamatory comment or abusive comments? Many thanks.

A. I think a standard "the views expressed on this site" disclaimer would at least have been proven by having been used and vetted by corporate lawyers. In any case, the deterrent factor might be worth the effort just by itself. Can't hurt. Hope that helps.

How do moderators on forums find out if you create an alternate account?

Because I saw that you will get an infraction for doing so in Smogon, Personality Cafe etc. Creating Multiple Accounts: (2 Points, 45 Days) If you create another account to actively use on the forums, for whatever reason, it will be banned and your main account will be infracted. How do they know...??? I think it is because of the IP address, but do they have THAT much privilege to view our IP addresses?

A. The server can tell from what IP you came, what brower you are using and, if a cookie is set, whether you are returning to the site using the same computer. They can't tell you are the same physical person behind the keyboard, but they can certainly tell whether it's the same computer and the same user on that computer. If you log in to their service using different credentials each time, it will be flagged by the server, and the penalties you mention can be applied automatically or after review by a "real person". You might be able to avoid this by creating multiple login accounts on your computer and staggering the times when you use the service. That way different tracking cookies will be set for each user and it will seem… [cont.]

What are good math forums to ask for homework help?
Q. As much as I like yahoo answers, I'd like to use a math forum that actually allows you to use math formatting and has an active community for higher-level math (I'm in college calculus, second semester). My web-searching skills are bad, though, so even though there should be some good math forums out there, I can't find them. Do you know of any?
