A. Homeschooling is easy in New Jersey. I am homeschooling my daughter for her second year. She is 12 and we did it last year. I just had to send a letter to the superintendent of schools to let him know that we would be homeschooling. Your mom can devise what ever curriculum she chooses and long as she meets all the requirements for what your little sis should be studying. The internet is a great place to start. You can buy packages for her grade which are very expensives. I went on the different websites and came up with my own program for my daughter and it cost under $300 total. You can also get information for different subjects online for free and you can also take books out at the library. This is what I am teaching my daughter this… [cont.]

What is the difference between an authentic jersey and a replica jersey?
Q. I saw a replica Hockey Canada jersey and an authentic one side by side in the store. They both looked the same to me (except for the price). What's the difference?
Asked by lorskie - Mon Oct 27 05:54:23 2008 - Hockey - 5 Answers - Comments
A. The replicas are a slightly lighter material, and are cut different than the authentic sweaters (not cut to fit over pads) Authentic sweaters are cut to fit over pads, and will have a fight strap in the back. If you're buying one for general wear or to wear to a game as a fan, you're probably fine buying the replica. If you're buying one for game use and expect heavy wear and tear, then buy the authentic one. Go Canada Go!

How do you hang a football jersey in a display case?
Q. Not sure if this is the right section or not but...I bought a display case that I want to hang an autographed football jersey in but I am not sure of the best way to do it without ruining the jersey. I have heard that sewing is not good because it puts holes in the jersey but I would think that if you pin it to the back, then that would lead to the same thing. Any tips, hints or suggestions? Thanks a ton

A. If you stitch with a ball-point needle it will not make holes in the jersey. You should be able to find these at fabric stores, quilting or yarn shops -

How much does it cost to buy a basketball jersey at the arena?
Q. How much does it cost to buy a basketball jersey at the basketball game (the arena?) Does it usually cost more than buying it online (like an NBA store online?) Are there any websites to buy authentic jerseys online, for cheaper? And I know some teams got new jerseys this season, are they usually the new ones, or the ones from previous season. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks!!
Asked by jenadoh - Mon Nov 3 02:30:47 2008 - Basketball - 3 Answers - Comments
A. What up jenada, Basketball jerseys are usually more expensive at the arena. You can go to NBA.com or you can google and search around. But at least you get a good idea of what's real or not- so you don't get ripped off because there are a lot of "knock-offs". I go to ebay to buy some of my jerseys or i'll wait till a sporting good store is having a clearance, etc. Ebay is good price wise but you have to look at the pictures closely. Good luck, Nickster

How do you fix a fading authentic NFL jersey which used screen printing?
Q. I have a standard NFL authentic jersey which is the ~70 dollar screen printed replica version of the jerseys. The part which is most annoying is the white screen printing which is used liberally on the jersey is fading with a yellowish tint. I have owned other jerseys similarly, and none of them have shown this tendency. I was wondering if there was a cleaning compound that could be used to fix this, or any other option that I can't seem to figure out?

What is the difference between jersey and polar fleece?
Q. I'm wanting to get my boyfriend a photo blanket for graduation, but on a lot of the websites I look at it says either jersey fleece or polar fleece. Which one would make a better blanket?
Asked by jobops - Sun Apr 12 20:23:06 2009 - Hobbies & Crafts - 3 Answers - Comments
A. For a photo blanket - go to a photo shop (like Walmart or Staples) and look at the blankets - they use polar fleece. The jersey fleece would be more like a sweatshirt. Walmart has several samples of different items you can personalize with a photo. At the very least, you will be a able to see in person what the results will be.

A. Well this depends.. If she is someone who likes to be warm and you experience cold days.. you might want to go a little big, so she can where a sweatshirt under it. If she will just wear it around the house during games then go small.. they don't shrink.. at least the good ones don't... Hope this helps..

How about using a basketball jersey instead of a cycling jersey on road rides?
Q. Already understand the purpose and benefits of a cycling jersey. Just wanting to test the waters.
Asked by me - Fri Feb 22 11:18:56 2008 - Cycling - 8 Answers - Comments
A. I've tried the Basketball and Football type jersey's; the only drawback is the polyester mix doesn't wick the sweat away fast enough, and results in a terrible afternoon commute if you ride up past 7pm (sweat, wind = cold, brrr). If you own one try it out, I thought it was kinda COOL... Buy one at a thrift shop and work out intensely and see if it works out for you. btw: baseball pants work awesome instead of bike shorts, they breath well and just a tad thicker than Lycra.

How to rent an apartment in New Jersey while looking for a job?
Q. My wife and I are looking to relocate to Jersey, to be somewhat close to NYC. We like Perth Amboy and Red Bank. A. September through May it's off season at the shore with plenty of off season rentals in Ocean Grove all the way down to Point Pleasant. You can get some really good deals on an off season rental or just rent a room weekly/monthly. Ocean Grove is only 15 minutes south of Redbank. Plenty of rentals in Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach, Avon Belmar all the way south to Point Pleasant. There are train stations in all those towns and it would be easy to commute into the city.

How would remove a sponsorship logo from a soccer jersey without damaging it?
Q. For example how would remove a Fly Emirates from an Arsenal Jersey? Would you need a different process for the Carlsberg logo from a Liverpool, or both logos from a Sporting Lisbon jersey?
