What is your opinion on John Karr?
Q. Do you think he is the murderer? Or is he just insane? I have heard both, what do you think? If you think the death was accidental, how do you think it happened, she was struck and choked?

A. His confession of the crime doesn't add up to all of the evidence of the crime scene. He will not tell how he killed her or how he entered the house. He claimed to drug her and there were no drugs in her system on the autopsy. He has studied Jon Benet's murder since 1996, he even wrote a college paper about her. He has not confessed unknown criminal information about the crime to show he did it. His wife claims he was never in CO , there is nothing to show he was there. He claims he took her home on Christmas.Mom and dad said they put her to bed at 10p.m. I think he is trying to settle for a softer punishment. I think he is trying to escape Thailand jail. I do not expect his DNA to match or his story. Too many holes so far!

What is your view of John Mark Karr?
Q. Liar, killer, child stalker, pedophile, white Michael Jackson, etc.? I think he's a pedophile looking for attention. He didn't kill Jonbenet, but hates himself enough to get himself off the streets. And what about his email correspondence? Was that a setup?

A. He is incredibly stupid or incredibly smart! I mean confessing to a murder, then giving the wrong details is one or the other! I have no idea which he is!

I saw an interview on cnn today with John Karr He beat around the bush and his answers were sort of shallow ,?
Q. what was the reason for this interview, and what kind of point is he trying prove. I just don't get it. His reason for not saying too much is so he can protect the innocent people? What!! It just seems that something is amiss and I don't understand this guy at all!

A. The reason for the interview supposedly was the one year anniversary of when he was arrested and brought back from Thailand to Colorado. I saw the same interview and I agree with your observations. He was being evasive and trying to act like he was doing it for the greater good . I think he is trying to make a Martyr himself. What a sad mess of a man.

A. Yeah, I remember that douche. That was a classic example of MWWS, otherwise known as Missing White Woman Syndrome. In this case, the emotions that occurred during the initial stages of Jon Benet Ramsey's disappearance reemerged exponentially without anyone thinking if this guy was legit.

A. It is called "Elephant In The Room" by Richard Walters. Here are the lyrics: Calling you to wake Shouting in my car that's stalled outside And it's pure coincidence I'm sure Falling from my mouth, secondary doubts I've found myself in Can't seem to look you in the eye And I hope you can see I'm more than this, this heap at your feet Who are you to judge me? Who are you to preach? Control has slipped away from me again How heavy are these words? They're heavier than air That rushes past your face as you drive away from me again How heavy are these hands? They're heavier than blood That rushes to my head as you walk away from me again Forcing you to speak Snapping out my voice seems smaller now, it's only whispering my life Paper… [cont.]

Who thinks John Mark Karr should be under 24 hour FBI surveillance for the rest of his life?
Q. Catherine Crier and other crime reporters are saying this won't happen, as it is unconstitutional. So what should or can be done to PREVENT this guy from hurting any more children?

A. The man is obviously mentally ill. I can't see wasting taxpayers money on this man for FBI surveillance. He needs to be put in a correctional facility for the criminally insane, if he is guilty of any child-molestation crime. Otherwise, he needs serious mental health care.

how was it possible for John Mark Karr to slip through the cracks of this investigation?
Q. I am furious, the more i hear about this case and how this guy lived in the neighborhood and was previously arrested for having child pornography and even spend time in jail...how in the world can this guy not have been a consideration for police in Boulder?? Wouldn't it be comon sense to investigate every petophile that lived in the area at that time?? JT.. you disgust me!! and you should listen to the news and get your facts straight!

A. Perhaps John Mark Karr is not the killer of Jon Benet. This case had more media attention than any other murder in the past decade. Karr looks like a Mr. Rogers wannabe and has a rap sheet that reads like a short story novel. He is guilty of some nasty stuff, of that I am sure. The Ramsey parents were the main focus of investigation for years because evidence suggested no broken entry and the hand written ransom note on Patsy's note pad. Maybe, Karr is confessing to this crime falsely in order to avoid facing charges in Thailand. If indeed he is the true killer of Jon Benet, every authority involved in the investigation of her murder is at fault for overlooking him if he was in their neighborhood at that time.

Q. I mean, he is a twisted guy with an obvious mental problem, do you think he should remain at a psychiatric facility for the rest of his life? In light of the child porn charges I think he should so he doesnt harm anyone. k I added this without seeing the umteen bazillion Karr questions..answer if you will.

A. I didn't think he was doing it so much for the publicity but more as an escape from the prison of another country. He knew it would be an easier sentence for him in a Cushy U.S. Jail rather than one in Tiawan (SP?? sorry). They really should have thought this out a little more before they spent all that money and time going over there to get him. Why didn't they just run the DNA on him before he left and that would have saved alot of time, money and effort. What a waste!!! He only lied (confessed) to get out of that country. He doesn't deserve to be in our Jail system or our psychiatric facilities - I say send him back.

A. I sure hope he dosn't get killed. That would be too good for him. I would hope that he lives as long as possible so that his 300 pound cellmate Bubba could have his way with him for the rest of his life. Getting raped on a daily basis 3 times a day for the rest of your life is far worse then getting killed.

Most people have seen what predators like John Karr have done to children. What should we do as citizens?
Q. I want to know what we can do to fight this sick crime. What are some legal options we have as parents? What responsibility do we have knowing that Americans can travel around the world and rape children by the hour in seedy brothel districts?
Asked by Jakesquestion - Tue Aug 29 02:45:29 2006 - Parenting - 4 Answers - Comments
A. Unfortunately, there is nothing legally that we can do right now, but it is time for a change. We need to be heard as one voice!! I guess I don't really know how to go about it, but we can start with those who are known offenders. Known offenders should not be able to leave the country, or the state as far as I am concerned! The problem that we are facing now, is that known convicted offenders still have too much freedom. I just found out that there is a known child predator (convicted twice, 1st degree) living inside the school zone in my community. I am outraged! People like this should not be allowed in public, let alone inside a school zone! I think we all need to stand together and tell someone in power that something needs to be done. [cont.]
