Meiringen is a municipality in the Interlaken-Oberhasli administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. SightsThe town is famous for the Reichenbach Falls, a spectacular water fall that was the setting for the fictional presumed death of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's character Sherlock Holmes. A museum dedicated to Holmes is located in the basement of the deconsecrated English Church, located in what has now been named Conan Doyle Place.
