And I'm young, only 13. I always hear about different companies that offer modeling/acting/singing classes but I know they're all scams. Do you know how I can get started without spending a whole bunch of money and not getting anywhere? Asked by Sammi - Wed Apr 28 17:37:54 2010 - Photography - 1 Answers - Comments A. You don't need modeling classes to become a model. Modeling is all about your physical features - your height, body type and facial structure. That's it. No school in the world can make you taller, thinner or more photogenic. And most agencies will hire a coach to work with you one on one if they think you need training, at their cost. There is no need to waste money on expensive classes Without knowing where you live it's impossible to give more detailed advice as most agencies require you to live within 100 miles for them to represent you. You cannot do anything on your own - only your parents can make this happen for you as long as you are under 18. You are not old enough to sign a contract, sign a model release form to be photographed,… [cont.] Answered by Kittysue - Thu Apr 29 14:24:04 2010 How should I go about getting into modeling?
Q. I have already been contacted by one agency in NYC but I keep hearing illegitimate little things about them. I want to be an average height/size plus sized model and is a Philadelphia native. I would be considered a novice because I have not done any modeling professionally. However, I feel that I can hold my own with the part-time modeling while going to school. I just need some legitimate advice from people who are models or agents and really know the ins and outs of the business. Thanks! Asked by MissToy - Sat Apr 4 15:37:01 2009 - Other - Careers & Employment - 4 Answers - 1 Comments A. im a new model in UK and im of average height. you need to start from somewhere. right, tip number one..get a portfolio of professional pictures of yourself, or pictures with a good background of yourself and ring up any modelling agency you find. (now portfolios are very expensive depending on how much you can afford. over here it's 250 pounds to 550).. when you ring up a modelling agency, you must find out if you are guaranteed a modelling job because if you're not, you don't get paid. you need to find out what they do, what you need, what height and weight you have to be.. now some modelling agencies want money..for registration. that's bullshit, you dont need to pay money for registration, if at all, you should pay a very low amount. e.
