What action if any do you think Obama will take on the Israeli Palestinian situation?
Q. Is he pro-Israel or pro Palestinian? Will bringing our troops home still be a priority in his foreign affairs policy? Or will this conflict take precedent? What if another nation (say Egypt, Syria, or Jordan) join the Palestinians in their conflict with Israel, what do you think he would do?
Asked by Ramman - Tue Jan 6 11:24:19 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Since Hamas has been condemned as a terrorist organization by the US State department, and has behaved like one, President Obama will deal with it as such. He will be hoping like the rest of us that the Palestinians reject Hamas. The other nations in the region do not have the courage to join the Palestinians and risk the anger of the US. Look at what happened in Iraq.

Can Israel be stopped from razing Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem?
Q. The UN secretary general has criticised Israeli municipal authorities for pressing ahead with a plan to raze Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem, calling it illegal. "The planned moves are contrary to international law, and to the wishes of Palestinian residents," the statement said. Israeli municipal authorities moved ahead on Monday with plans to demolish 20 Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem, risking more US-Israeli friction and international criticism following its recent deadly raid on a flotilla trying to take humanitarian goods into Gaza. Ban reminded Israel "of its responsibility to ensure provocative steps are not taken which would heighten tensions in the city".

A. No. The Palestinians did it to themselves. Now the Palestinians must lie in the bed that they made for themselves.

Do think Israel will allow the creation of a Viable Palestinian state after the Gaza war?
Q. I do not think so. Israel will create a new enemy to delay any viable Palestinian state. At end it is up to Obama. Bush made the Viable Palestinian state a US and World policy.

A. Israel isn't concerned about helping Palestinians in anyway - this should be pretty obvious by now. This whole Hamas front is a joke. First - this is not defense - it is a Holocaust / Genocide. See this website for a plethora of info: This book is also very good and explains a lot: The truth is hard to find these days because so much of the news you see is controlled by companies/people with bias/special interests. Do some research on who owns most of the news channels like FOX, NY Times, Wallstreet Journal, ABC, etc... The facts are all there. Jews own all of these. Israel claims it is attacking Palestine to defend itself? This is a joke! Israel defend itself? Does this sound like defense? Palestine doesn't even have an army, [cont.]

What land will be offered for a Palestinian state?
Q. And what would be the terms. Would there be settlements in the state still along with IDF presence? What about resources, borders, and trade borders? Do you think it is possible to have a Palestinian state built out of Gaza and the W. Bank? How exactly would that work?
Asked by <3 Lady Lulu <3 - Mon Mar 30 14:04:29 2009 - - 13 Answers - 0 Comments
A. None; the only land they will obtain via "peaceful negotiations" will be a few scattered island-like areas more or less analogous to American Indian reservations. That's why they need to study true revolutionary methods of overthrowing colonial authority. Time is working very much against them. Twenty years of "peace talks" have only bought time for the zionists; the years since Oslo have seen nothing but relentless demographic inroads into the WB creating a de facto annexation.

Should East Jerusalem be the Palestinian capital, and West Jerusalem the Israeli capital?
Q. I think that will be necessary to bring peace. Going back to the pre-1967 borders would be good for both sides. Plus, it would reflect the true nature of Jerusalem; a city that is holy for both Jews and Muslims. The border could be the Wailing Wall on the Israeli side, and the Dome of the Rock on the Palestinian side. Also, East Jerusalem has a majority Palestinian population, while West Jerusalem is mostly Jewish.

A. I doubt it will go this way. Fanatics on both sides will not let such a simple and fair solution see the light.

How many states will recognize Jerusalem as Capital of Palestinian state?
Q. I have no doubt that at least 70 Muslim states will recognize Jerusalem as a capital of the New Muslim Palestinian State. My question does really this number suggest Palestinians have legitimate rights on Jerusalem as a CAPITAL?

A. I think President Obama said it best Obama said that as a practical matter, it would be very difficult to execute a division of the city. And I think that it is smart for us to, to work through a system in which everybody has access to the extraordinary religious sites in Old Jerusalem but that Israel has a legitimate claim on that city. And that's the end of the story.

A. Nothing good. The people elected Hamas and one man (Mahmoud Abbas) elected the entire government as it is today. Not exactly a democratic position if you ask me. Any agreement with a government that' A) not popular and B) has no control over the people will not yield any tenable results. In my opinion, before negotiations we need new elections (I would even say for both sides due to Olmert's popularity, but at least on the Palestinian side).

What happens if a Palestinian decides they want to convert to Judaism?
Q. If a Palestinain in Israel/or Palestinian territories decides for some reason they want to convert to Judaism and be an Israeli what happens? Are they accepted at all or turned down because of their background?
Asked by James - Sun Jan 11 15:53:24 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. We will go through with them the procedure that is used in a normal conversion. Namely the acceptance of the torah and and abide by it's precepts. So no, they would not be treated any differently than say a Canadian or Australian in this regards. With saying that, they may be the victim of the wrath of their former family and comrades, who do not look positively to conversion, especially to Judaism.

A. Wikipedia lists the casualties on both sides. According to B'Tselem, 844 Palestinian children were killed by Israelis from 9/2000 to end of 2007. About 4 times that number was injured. No 2008 figures are provided. During the period 2005-2007 there were 15 Palestinians killed for every Israeli killed. There were 50 palestinian children killed or injured for every Israeli child killed or injured.

Q. If america and the world kept on pushing to build an Independent palestinian State which consists of the U.N 67 borders (All west bank and Gaza strip) what will Happen to the Israeli settlers in the West bank and Palestinians Settlers in Israel (Israeli Arabs)? Will there be a population transfer or Israeli arabs will continue living in Israel and will still be called "Israel Arabs" and Israelis living in Palestine will be called "Palestinian Jews"??
Asked by Haute Couture - Tue Jun 9 12:33:30 2009 - - 13 Answers - 0 Comments
A. That's an excellent question, and one that is contested. Some do indeed advocate a population exchange, though very few throughout history have succeeded. I like to believe their can be a state with a Jewish identity, and one with a Palestinian identity, but that Jews and Arabs can live freely alongside another in the opposite state. Indeed, I hope that it won't turn out that Israel remains a democracy, representing and tolerating minorities, including Palestinians and Homosexuals, and the other an oppressive regime where neither Jews nor Homosexuals can live. On a side note, the term Palestinian Jew, while uncommon today, was very commonly used among the British authorities, and even philosopher Immanuel Kant.
