Oil companies make nifty commercials you can watch, and if you didn't know what they did, you wouldn't know the commericial was about an oil company and still wouldn't know what they did. I don't know what the commercials are supposed to acheive exactly. A. If not the shelling is bad enough, Israel use`s a device called a Dense Inert Metal Explosive (DIME) . Now the power of the explosion dissipates very quickly and the strength does not travel long, maybe 10 meters, but those humans who are hit by this explosion, this pressure wave are cut in pieces. But even this is not good enough for the Israel, these weapons , what happens next is that the victims develop cancer. And since Israel control what aid goes in, these poor victims will get no treatment and die in agony.

If this project is owner driven then wouldn't it be driven by the Sri Lanka Armed forces that owns the land?

Instead of being determined to settling civilians in hazardouus terrains that are pre-indicated bt the tsunami but also have historical flooding/wind shear issues shouldn't the Apex Chairperson of the International Red Cross step in and deal with the half finished programmes that have been left such as these: This project was not slated for completion or operational status until 2012 - has it been completed? In the same area where the Red Cross had operated there is continued issues of flooding that have not been remedied - these half completed initiatives need to be followed through prior to funding further projects that cause human suffering because they were improperly placed or further mismanaged.

But honestly people should put international pressure on this! it's one thing to protect against terrorist attacks which is totally fine... but to prevent human beings from getting medical treatment?? come on
