GNU Free Documentation License How can I make a character in my story have a strong personality? Q. I'm being told constantly that my writing has voiceless characters. Is there any way that I can make them better? Asked by Jelly B - Sun Sep 7 16:54:26 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. Start by sitting down and writing about the character - what they like and don't like, their strengths and weaknesses, if they have any quirks, that sort of thing. If someone were to ask you, "What's your friend So-and-so like," how would you describe that person? Use the same idea to describe your characters. This way, you get to know your characters. Until you know them like old friends, it's hard to describe them and make them come to life. And remember, write, write, write, and read, read, read! Happy writing, kiddo!
